E&D, in my opinion there are only three viable solutions to your current dilemma. First and foremost, you have to take care of yourself and your health, but it seems as though you would like to retain your business if at all possible. So, option one (selling the company) doesn't really seem like it is something you want to consider. Option two would be to take on an associate or partner who could oversee the company in your absence. You would likely need to be on call to answer questions and give direction for a time, which may not bode well for your health but it would get you out of the day to day operations. Or third, you could outsource the work until your health improves therefore retaining your customer base and a part of the income while once again not needing to really worry about the day to day operations.
In a given year we've been able to generate about that much new traffic to our social media sites without any outside assistance. Realistically in my line of work 750-1300 new customers is a gross exaggeration; perhaps 50-100 clients is more realistic. Honestly, we wouldn't be interested in...

Realistically in my line of work 750-1300 new customers is a gross exaggeration; perhaps 50-100 clients is more realistic. Honestly, we wouldn't be interested in paying that much each month at this time as I just don't think we would get the ROI.

I am in sales and catering. While I did not start this particular business, it was not in the greatest spot when I came on board. With that being said, the most difficult hurdle for me has been acquiring new business. We have established clients that use us again and again; however, we are always looking to grow and expand and the only way to do that is through new business. I am constantly looking at new ways of marketing to bring our services to potential clients. It is a daily struggle.
Unfortunately no, but it sounds like they would be a lot of fun!

We have a business Instagram account and love it for multiple reasons. It's a more down to Earth way to approach our customers (many of whom use Instagram on a regular basis). We keep it fresh and exciting by updating content frequently no only as permanent posts that our clients can look back on, but also through stories which provide a more intimate look at the day to day of our business and really let our customers get a feel for who we are and what goes into creating the perfect event.

We email "cold contacts," but we do not send them generic emails or mass emails. Instead, we take the time to do our research and personalize each and every email that we send out to potential clients. We also do not try to overwhelm our potential clients with a lot of information; instead, we send a quick email introducing our company and our services. We give the potential client the opportunity to reach out if they desire more information.
We "survey" each of our clients at the conclusion of their event. We are looking for feedback on their event so that we can continue to improve.

We are a conference and event center in a pretty typical building. Nothing special to set up apart there. I think where we really excel is in our food and beverage. Our menu is simple but our chef's go above and beyond to ensure that our food is phenomenal each and every time. We are always...

We are always getting word of mouth recommendations based on meals clients have had with us previously.

Unfortunately we only rent event space, so my team and myself don't deal directly with bringing in talent. However, we do cultivate relationships with the big businesses in our area and often host many of their events. They keep coming back to us not only because of our competitive pricing and excellent food, but more importantly because of our attention to detail and customer service. These types of events also bring in "big names".
