(more) SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY EVENT... Come join us @ Carrier Park by the River in Asheville :) Miracle Walking is a simple, joyful, and fun exercise to start to correct our bad habits in walking, while connecting more to the natural healing energy from the Earth! While walking to a recording with simple guidelines, our posture, back, knees, and feet will receive the natural help needed which supports our overall health! Most of the problems that we notice as we age are related to misuse of our bodies.  Walking incorrectly is one of the main culprits that leads to problems with joints and even organs. As we walk lazily, letting our joints carry the weight of our bodies instead of using our muscles to do so, we cause wear and tear and restrict the flow of blood to our glands and organs.  Walking correctly strengthens and tones our muscles, from the legs all the way to the chest, with every step.  It is like a gym-on-the-go, if we let it be! Learning to walk correctly is not difficult. It begins with the placement of our feet with each step – not too wide or too narrow, and stride length. Miracle Walking gives simple instructions on the basics of walking correctly, and is accompanied by music that makes it feel a little like dancing.💃💃 Everyone, no matter their age or physical ability, is joyfully invited to attend. ❤ In the case of severe rain/weather, a backup location will be announced. (more) The first step in the process of making lifestyle changes is taking that first step "naturally"...literally! When I first started to walk as I was created to walk, I had no idea how this would change my life.  As my body posture improved, as my health improved, as I began to feel better in every way, my attitude changed.  I am happier.  My heart is more open.  There's no going back...thank goodness!!

Interesting!...learning how to walk naturally is a gift that each of us is born with...it's not "new" or "alternative".  However, have you every been taught how to walk properly?  Have you ever been taught how walking incorrectly affects not only our structural body ... wear and tear on our bones... My sanctuary happens when I do my "natural" walking.  Whenever I feel like I need to regroup or let go of negativities or reconnect with the innate peace and joy within, I take a few steps of natural walking.  Within a few minutes the physical adjustments happen ... my mind is calm again ... and... (more) My sanctuary happens when I do my "natural" walking.  Whenever I feel like I need to regroup or let go of negativities or reconnect with the innate peace and joy within, I take a few steps of natural walking.  Within a few minutes the physical adjustments happen ... my mind is calm again ... and I'm within the joy.  Although I love being outside in nature, the cool thing is I can walk naturally anywhere and receive these benefits.  We all are created to walk this way... Who knew? :):)

You wouldn't think walking properly would have much to do with getting a good night's rest. :):)  However, learning to walk naturally, the way we were designed, has changed my nighttime completely. I used to be up several times during the night...often taking a while to fall back to sleep... (more) You wouldn't think walking properly would have much to do with getting a good night's rest. :):)  However, learning to walk naturally, the way we were designed, has changed my nighttime completely. I used to be up several times during the night...often taking a while to fall back to sleep again.  Now that my steps are more proper...stimulating the reflexology points on the soles of my feet...activating the meridians throughout my body to produce the natural hormones necessary for a good night's sleep...I sleep like a baby!!  And, my day is sweeter...noticeably more calm, less stressed, more energy! :):)

Good Morning!!  I must admit that I don't jump up and out of the bed like I used to when I was somewhat younger..hehe!  However, walking "naturally" from the moment my feet touch the floor and with each step, my body remembers. I immediately feel the energy flow up through the soles of my feet... (more) Good Morning!!  I must admit that I don't jump up and out of the bed like I used to when I was somewhat younger..hehe!  However, walking "naturally" from the moment my feet touch the floor and with each step, my body remembers. I immediately feel the energy flow up through the soles of my feet through all the meridians in my body...refreshing, rejuvenating and releasing the holdings accumulated from the night. (more) Often by the end of a long workday, our bodies are telling us how we are holding tightly onto the stress of the day instead of letting go...especially in our shoulders, neck and back.  Learning the keys of natural walking, we can take a few minutes and take a few steps naturally...anywhere!  We don't have to wait to get home!  Feeling our body weight drop through the soles of our feet, allowing our whole being to open and connect with the earth's healing energy... releasing the worries, tensions and challenges held within our bodies feels sooooo good.  For sure, our favorite way to unwind! I know what I would do if my back started to hurt – my Secrets of Natural Walking practice!! With joy…Deborah Here's a recent experience from a Secrets of Natural Walking alumni…. "I've been struggling with back issues for a loooong time (20+ years). in the last 10 months or so -- it's become... (more) I know what I would do if my back started to hurt – my Secrets of Natural Walking practice!! With joy…Deborah Here's a recent experience from a Secrets of Natural Walking alumni…. "I've been struggling with back issues for a loooong time (20+ years). in the last 10 months or so -- it's become progressively worse. My back would go out every 2-3 weeks (or more) leaving me curled up on the floor calling for Flexeril so I could eventually peel myself off the ground. My back would go out (or be otherwise tweaked) doing the obvious stuff (i.e. lifting kids) but could even go out doing something as innocuous as turning over in bed. I was left feeling super vulnerable and frankly a bit depressed. Over the last decade or so I've tried many approaches to address it. I've had MRI's & x-rays (confirmed degenerative disc disease), underwent hard-core Physical Therapy, tried multiple acupuncture & herbology therapists, was adjusted by doctors (multiple flavors), got zapped via cold laser therapy, basked in infra-red therapy, was jolted by electrical muscle stimulation, ate anti-inflammatory diets, hung from inversion tables, purchased a $4000 latex mattress, sweated through 1:1 Pilates and yoga classes, paid $170+ per session for Rolfing (it's better than it sounds) and even tried an experimental treatment called prolotherapy (worse than it sounds). Some of these modalities offered a good deal of relief. Others did not. but none of them addressed the core issue. 3 weeks ago, I attended a workshop called "Secrets of Natural Walking" and I'm stoked to report that my back feels fundamentally different. I feel taller/straighter/more aligned. I am able to sit at my computer without constantly shifting one leg over the other. A week ago, I sat at a concert on cement, backless "seats" for over 2 hours (something I never could have done even a few weeks prior). And - best of all - I don't feel the need to watch every move I make in order to protect myself. I still occasionally have some discomfort, but it's amazing that I don't feel like my back is in a precarious state any more. I'm super grateful that there is improvement in the core issues of my back b/c of Natural Walking. BTW, 10 years ago I would have rolled my eyes at any of this stuff, much less the results (and I won't be offended if you're doing so now). I can only speak from what I've experienced. peace and healthy living Jim"
