There is no right or wrong action in regards to providing or not providing holiday gifts however, it may also depend if your a brick n mortar business, a sales agent with physical customers on a route or territory or an online service.

As a brick n mortar business you may wish to offer a holiday club where members receive rewards, discounts and free gifts with every holiday purchase.

If you have clients on a route, donut boxes for the staff works wonders.

if your an online service company, holiday emails work and offer a great gesture.

Just keep in mind the following. Holiday season is also the time of year people look to save money and cancel many services regardless how great your services are due to budget restraints. Your good holiday cheer gesture is also a reminder that they are paying you.

Not trying to be the grinch For a holiday question LOL, just keeping it real and providing options, opinions and thoughts to think  about.

We offer corporate gifts all through out the year. We can customize almost any product with your company name or logo and it definitely makes an impression on the client.  One thing I am happy to see is many of our clients have stopped doing it during the holiday season in December and will do it at a random time during the year which will actually make it extra special as many people give gifts during the holidays, but getting a Thankksgiving gift or an appreciation gift in March just because you value the client goes a long way.  Please let me know if I can help with any upcoming gift ideas, swag or items for your company store.  [email address]

We don't buy gifts. But provide an annual holiday party for over 200 people, with food, drinks and entertainment. The event takes place at our office for current and new people.

We do not send any gifts to our clients.  It implies that they employ staff who can be bought.  The days of 'buying' your client, at least in our industry, are long gone.

The gift to our client is keeping their operating costs as low as possible by doing our job right, the first time, this ensures our clients receive a bigger bonus for a job well done when their annual maintenance costs are reduced.

Any client asking or hinting that a gift would sway them, will never be loyal to you.

Do your job right and the success will come. Never buy a client.

Yes, I give small homemade gifts to all my clients during the class week of classes before Christmas. Just a little something to know I value and appreciate them.  Without them I would not have a business I love.
