I usually get a gift card so clients can get what they need, depending on their personality or if they have everything and are just moving, wines or fruit baskets work great also.

I've given personalized door mats which seem to be a big hit.

For buyers, must give some gifts according to their liking (some want money instead of gift cards)
If referred by someone, definitely give him/ her some gifts.
For Sellers, do throw them a party (for their better future)

For my current buyer. I do a whole cleaning move-in package with cleaning supplies and gift card to their favorite restaurant. I always do several follow ups after escrow is closed also. This definitely puts that extra touch so I’m remembered. 

I think closing gifts should be personalized to the client. Often times closing gift companies can be generic and low value items. In my opinion, if there were multiple price point options and with quality items, it would be a desirable service.

I like to give my customers a wine bottle, jam and/or muffins with the RE/MAX logo on them when we meet at the Notary for the deed of sale. 

Sounds fine. I usually purchase dinner gift cards at local fine dining establishments. Also, I do personally take clients out to lunch or dinner too.
